Feb 27, 2018 - Francis' WWW Site BUFR File Support Software Downloads Latest version: Note: the Linux issue now includes all the graphics libraries. Environment Canada's BUFR decoder, called libECBufr, is neat and really stable software which I would recommend. By the word 'stable' honestly I mean it can decode some JMA BUFR's which cannot be done by other decoder.
The presentation of significant weather on the mid level significantweather chart is similar in many respects to that on High LevelSignificant Weather charts. The detail required however is moreextensive because the bottom of the chart is now at FL100 instead ofFL250. Aircraft flying at these lower levels in the atmosphere, belowFL250, will more likely encounter larger areas of icing and turbulence.
